Dealer’s Perception
·
The NSE
All-Share Index lost 115bps.
·
Bearish
sentiments trimmed off additional points from First Bank, GTBank
and UBA posting losses of 0.5%, 1.0% and 4.6%
respectively. Zenith Bank however recovered today as it headed back
to N18.00 and recorded a 0.1% mark-up. IBTC, Access
Bank and UBN
also closed on the up-tick recording gains of 1.4%, 2.3% and 4.3% respectively.
·
The
Food and beverages sector also went to the bears today; Q3 numbers for Cadbury
and Nestle announced during the session did not change
current bearish sentiments as both lost 3.4% and 2.1% to close at N28.00 and
N675.00 respectively. Dangote
Flour, Flourmills and Dangote
sugar were also not spared with
losses of 1.2%, 0.8% and 0.6%.
·
NB dropped a further 6.8% as demand for the
stock shrunk towards the end of the day’s proceeding; this recent correction
could spur demand in coming sessions. Guinness however picked up 0.2% today.
