INVESTMENT BANKING
The Investment Banking Division has extensive breadth and depth of experience, institutional knowledge and track record in both the domestic and international capital markets advisory transactions. Some of its recent transactions include:
Acting as joint financial adviser to Benue Cement Company Plc on its mega-merger with Obajana Cement to create the largest listed company on the NSE with a projected market share of N2,090bn and assets in excess of N316bn
Acting as joint financial adviser and joint issuing house to Lagos State Government on tranche 1 & 2 of the N275bn Lagos State Government Bond Programme – on both occasions the offers were the biggest single tranche bond transactions in Nigeria.
Acting as financial adviser to Standard Bank of South Africa on the US$1.2bn merger/tender offer of Stanbic Bank (Nigeria) Limited with IBTC Chartered Bank Plc to form Stanbic IBTC Plc- the first ever simultaneous merger and tender offer transaction in sub-Saharan Africa.
Acting as joint underwriter, issuing house and local coordinator to Guaranty Trust Bank Plc on the US$750mm listing of global depositary receipts on the London Stock Exchange- the first ever listing of an African Bank's global depositary receipts on the London Stock Exchange.
We also provide services relating to leveraged finance, project finance, asset finance and leasing, structured finance, high-grade debt restructuring in addition to collaborating with industry groups.
